Chicago is home to locally owned vets that offer everything from basic grooming to orthopedic surgery.
When your furry companion needs to see the vet, visit one of these practices near our Chicago apartments that offer curbside service:
Metropolitan Veterinary Center
When Dr. Kjerstin Jacobs felt there was an unmet need for reasonably priced medical care for local pets, the Metropolitan Veterinary Center was born. Dr. Jacobs earned her DVM from the University of Wisconsin. She enjoys the challenging aspects of her job and forms long-term relationships with her clients. When Dr. Jacobs isn’t at work, she spends time with her rescue dogs. Services include acupuncture, diagnostic imaging, and oxygen therapy.
West Loop Veterinary Care
Better known as WLVC, West Loop Veterinary Care is dedicated to helping pets feel comfortable and secure. Dr. David Gonsky grew up with pets of nearly every size, shape, and color. It sparked his interest in veterinary medicine, and he opened the clinic to share his passion. Dr. Gonsky has extensive experience in internal medicine and treats his patients like family. Services include vaccinations, immunizations, and spaying/neutering.
Dedicated to the community, Boulevard Veterinary offers some of the best care in town. Dr. Tyler Williams joined the practice in 2017. His grandparents’ were farmers, and growing up, he participated in 4-H and Future Farmers of America. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has a particular interest in promoting longevity through proper nutrition. Boulevard Veterinary features a state-of-the-art facility complete with an in-house laboratory. Varied services include heartworm treatments, dental cleanings, and chiropractic care.
After the appointment, curl up with your pet and enjoy a mystery e-book from the Chicago Public Library.
