Learning a new language can spark creativity and help make you a better communicator. If you would like to learn a new language, several local schools offer virtual lessons. Here are three schools that offer new language lessons near our apartments in Chicago:
ItalCultura is the official language school of the Italian Cultural Institute of Chicago. One of the experienced teachers includes Claudia Zanella. She graduated with a Comparative Language degree from the University of Milan, where she focused on English literature. Today, Claudia calls Chicago home. Additionally, teaching is an essential part of her life, and she enjoys sharing her heritage with her students. ItalCultura offers beginning through advanced lessons over Zoom. The spring session starts on April 12th, and you can have your books shipped to your home.
Before opening the Berges Institute, Dan Berges and Vanessa Montilla spent nearly a year writing the school’s textbooks. They have been teaching Spanish full-time since 2011 and enjoy watching their students improve. The school uses the Graf Method. It teaches how a language works and allows students to hold full conversations in a short amount of time. Furthermore, all classes are currently online. Choices include Spanish for Absolute Beginners and Level 2: The Past Tense and Other Topics.
Language Loop offers quality classes six days a week. It boasts a faculty of native speakers, who are trained to teach in their mother tongue. Students can take private online lessons over Zoom, Skype, Google Meet, and other platforms. Additionally, you can learn at your own pace and will learn the basics in no time. Languages include Russian, Italian, and Japanese.
