Mark your calendar for October 20th.
That’s when Festiv-Ale takes place at Revel Fulton Market.
It’s known for bringing beer lovers together who enjoy sampling the offerings from the best breweries in the Midwest, including some that call Chicago home.
This event benefits the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and also includes live music, food trucks, and a silent auction.
Participating breweries include:
Tangled Roots Brewing Company
Tangled Roots comes from Ottawa, Illinois, and its brewers have an appreciation for the natural elements. They state they’re into flavors, not fads, and produce creations that craft beer connoisseurs consider more adventurous beers. Choices include Oktoberfest, Devil’s Paint Box IPA, and Vermilion River Weiss.
Right Bee Cider
Established in 2014, Right Bee Cider is owned by Katie Morgan and Charlie Davis. They, along with another man, are the only employees, and their cider is on tap at more than fifty restaurants throughout the Chicago area. It’s not to be missed at the festival as it is made with apples, local honey, and organic cane sugar.
Forbidden Root Restaurant & Brewery
Forbidden Root boasts that it’s Chicago’s first brewery dedicated to producing fine botanic beers made with all-natural ingredients. It opened last year in the West Town neighborhood, and the staff is passionate about giving back. The brewery regularly supports organizations such as the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation through the sale of Money on My Mind, Wildflower Pale Ale, and Sublime Ginger just to name a few.
